DeCA Sets February, Early March 2021 Category Reviews • FORT LEE

Throughout mid-January 2021, the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) announced a total of nine category reviews that will be conducted by the Sales Directorate (SD) and are scheduled to take place throughout February, with at least one in early March, in calendar year 2021.

Five of the nine category reviews were signed off on by then-DeCA Sales Director Tracie Russ, who will become Europe Area director on March 14 and who gave her stamp of approval to these reviews before she left the headquarters-based position. The other four were signed off on by Bonita Moffett, formerly director of the East Area, who became the director of Sales effective Jan. 3. 

According to Russ and Moffett, these category review areas are slated to include items ranging from microwave and pre-pop popcorn to snack nuts and seeds and isotonics.

A partial, alphabetized listing of these categories to be reviewed in February, with at least one in March, can be found in the following chart, which includes the timeframe that the appointments/presentations will be accepted, the date the appointment requests must be submitted by, and the SD contact, with extension number.
