Our Members

The American Logistics Association's membership consists of civilian manufacturers, manufacturer's representatives/brokers, distributors, publishers, and others who sell or provide products and/or services to the Military Resale and MWR systems.

ALA Member Types

Manufacturer
Any company who makes a product or provides a service and sells directly to commissaries and exchanges for resale and/or support of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) activities of the U.S. military.

Broker/Manufacturer Representative
Any organization that represents the interests of companies in the Military Resale business and/or support of MWR activities through the negotiation of commercial transactions between their principals and the U.S. military.

Distributor
Any company that acts as a third party in the transmission of goods/services from manufacturer to the point-of-sale (commissaries, exchanges, MWR systems).

Media
The term media, as it relates to the Association, includes any organization that publishes a form of mass communication (i.e., newspapers, newsletters, magazines, radio, television and .com companies) that is circulated/accessible to the general public and whose main purpose is to provide information regarding the Military Resale/MWR industry. This category also includes non-traditional media such as coupon companies and advertising firms.

Service
Any organization that provides a service in support of or as a direct benefit to the Association's core membership (manufacturers, brokers, distributors). Includes, but is not limited to: suppliers of promotional marketing products/services; category management firms; sales management and consulting organizations.

Affiliate
This member category is reserved for those organizations that do not fall under the definitions of any of the Association's other current member categories but who still actively support the Military Resale/MWR industry through the products/services they provide to industry members and/or our military trading partners.
